Clinical
Studies on Omega-3s:
DHA and EPA
In the past two decades, randomized
trials have shown that omega-3 fatty acids, such as DHA, significantly decrease
mortality from cardiovascular disease. The
American Heart Association now recommends that everyone should
consume omega-3 fatty acids for cardiovascular benefits.
There is also mounting evidence that
a diet containing omega-3 fatty acids may also prevent depression.
1 Study
references different ratios and higher doses of Omega-3’s than contained in Animi-3.
FDA “Qualified Health Claims” Omega-3 Fatty Acids & Coronary Heart Disease.
Consumption of omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
FDA evaluated the above claim and determined that, although there is scientific
evidence supporting the claim, the evidence is not conclusive.
