Animi-3 with Vitamin D
Animi-3 with Vitamin D combines the proven benefits of a high quality Triglyceride Formulation of Omega-3 supplementation, with the well-established and continually developing benefits of Vitamin D supplementation into one, easy to take product.
The same high quality ingredients, as well as the same stringent manufacturing processes that you’ve counted on when prescribing Animi-3 for your patients in the past have not changed. In fact, the only thing that has changed is the addition of 1000 IU of Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) to the formula.
The reason for this change in formulation is simple. After reviewing multiple studies, encompassing thousands of patient lives, as well as considering the most recent data available on nutritional supplementation, we at PBM Pharmaceuticals realized that a high quality product, containing a Triglyceride Formulation of DHA/EPA, as well as Vitamin D3 was an option many Health Care Providers would find useful for patients.
Which Came First, the Disease or the Deficiency?
Studies published in peer-reviewed journals have reported that patients with cardiovascular disease, diabetes and are (or may be) pregnant, could be deficient in vital nutrients such as:
- Omega-3 (DHA & EPA)
- Folic Acid
- Vitamin B6 and B12
- Phytosterols
- Vitamin D3
**Addressing these deficiencies may reduce cardiovascular risk. Studies have shown that low vitamin D levels are associated with hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, left ventricular hypertrophy, and chronic vascular inflammation, all of which are risk factors for CVD.**
The omega-3 (DHA & EPA) in Animi-3 with Vitamin D has been highly refined to remove contaminants commonly found in fish oils such as methylmercury and PCB's.
